Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year

Good afternoon everyone, just a very quick post to wish our members and everyone else who’s been a part of the club in any way a Merry Christmas and our best wishes for the new year.

2015 was probably the first ‘big’ year for the club, we’ve had great success with our club, development and easy wheelers ride, we’ve had success in Time Trials and races and we wish to grow on that in the new year. We’ve been to Scotland ‘on tour’, been abroad, we’ve cycled the length of England on the coast to coast. and done many many events.

We’ve loads planned for next year so keep your eyes open on our news feed. For now, enjoy Christmas and we’ll see you all soon.

BC-AFFILIATED-CLUB

2016 is going to be a great year for the club, with 2 strong years behind us we’re up to a shed load of great stuff as we continue to push forward to making BCC one of the largest growing clubs in the region. Membership is £15 for an individual or £25 for a couple. in 2016 we are also for our first year ‘adopting’ a charity and we’ve picked one close to cycling community which is the Great North Air Ambulance (GNAAS).

our membership year is 1st January until 31st December, so why not make it your new year resolution to join us, or renew and get the year off to a good start.

GNAAS to become Club 2016 charity

On behalf of the BCC Committee I’d like to announce the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS)
as the Club’s adopted charity.
As a cycling club we are all too aware of the risks the roads and hills present and, sadly, many of us have at some time witnessed or known an occasion when the Air Ambulance has saved the lives of loved ones, friends and acquaintances.
We are all very aware of the fantastic service they offer and know that one day it might be our turn to be saved.
The JustGiving page can be found here and will be open for donations at any time: www.justgiving.com/blaydoncycling or bit.ly/blaydoncharity
Events and appeals will be organised throughout the year, so please give as generously as you can. Details of these events will be published in our usual way through our social media channels.
We hope you are all as enthusiastic as we are with the decision to support them.

Regards,

Blaydon Cycle Club Committee

as the traditional ‘off season’ starts we’ll still be here building up to the start of the 2016 season where we have big plans in the making. There’s never been a better time to become a part of a North East club that’s getting bigger, and better every time a new member signs up. You can be a part of it and we look forward to seeing you. We’re going places.

New Kit Arrival

Good Morning all, Our new kit has arrived, check members chat page for collection instructions. We’re also looking at arranging an evening next week where anyone who can come down, can come into La Taverna and collect their gear. Our thanks go to Endura for sorting this all out for us.

Facebook: Race HQ

Just a quick line to let everyone know our ‘Blaydon Race HQ’ page has been removed, Originally this was a place for the race team to discuss and plan TT and race events, Through time and through some deliberation, we have decided to remove this group and all race planning will be done via the members chat forum, this helps everyone in long long run by making all club activity more inclusive and giving you less places to have to check to keep up to date with the latest happening within the club.

Members chat is open to subscribed members of the club if you are not a member of that page please ask us how to get access, if you’re not a member of the club, please refer to the main profile at facebook.com/blaydoncycling for all our latest news, to race you must be a British Cycling member (race license needed) as well as be a club member.
