Rides
The club has three different road cycling groups providing options for cyclists of pretty much all abilities. Increasingly, we have been heading off-road and hitting the forest trails of Northumberland and waggonways of County Durham on our gravel bikes. This is very much a side of the club we would like to expand upon.
Group A Rides – Not for the faint hearted!

“Sizzler”, “Blasties”
The names tell the story of our Group A rides which are for riders who want to ride hard and fast. Depending on the terrain, Group A will normally average around 18mph with everybody expected to take their fair share of turns on the front.
The good news? There is almost always a café stop…..take full advantage, you’re going to need those calories!
Group B Rides

Our Group B rides are aimed at reasonably fit cyclists but are not designed to leave you with bursting lungs and aching legs. There will probably few efforts, especially on the climbs but on the whole, these are reasonably social rides and you will always have enough puff to chat amiably with your ride partners.
Café stops are obligatory.
